Vision has announced significant upgrade to its popular Techconnect Control programming software, providing a seamless cloud-based experience for deploying large scale roll-outs.
The upgraded Vision Techconnect Control now features a user-friendly, browser-based interface, maintaining the familiarity of the previous application, ensuring integrators that are accustomed to the old system will find it effortless to transition to the enhanced software.
One of the most exciting improvements is the expansion of the IR and RS-232 database, significantly enhancing the software's capabilities. To keep up with evolving technology, the system utilises crowd-sharing, allowing the library to grow dynamically with the introduction of new codes.
Collaboration among colleagues has never been easier, as the new system allows users to share configurations quickly via a link. Additionally, each configuration comes with an associated changelog, ensuring efficient communication during the integration process. For those who prefer a more traditional approach, configurations can be saved as JSON files and conveniently shared via email.
The upgraded software streamlines trouble-shooting procedures, providing integrators with a smoother programming experience. Programming codes, including IR codes, can now be easily copied and pasted, significantly accelerating the setup process.
"The Techconnect Control is a wolf in sheep's clothing," explains Stuart Lockhart, Director of Vision. "With its simplicity, it can function as a basic controller, or, for more advanced users, multiple codes can be assigned to each button and sent in various ways."
Lockhart emphasises the system's applicability for signage applications, where precise scheduling is crucial. He states, "It is a very simple control system that can send codes on a schedule – ideal for signage applications where you need to turn displays on or off at given times."
The new software is developed specifically for the upcoming Techconnect Control, scheduled for release in December, but Vision ensures backward compatibility with the current product version, further extending the value to existing users.
