Vision delivers AV installers with a ‘no-brainer’ end-to-end signal quality for interactive display installations.

Vision’s new Techconnect HDMI Faceplate Package, engineered to speed up and optimise HDMI display installations, is now shipping, the AV installation designer and manufacturer has announced.

The new HDMI Faceplate Package includes a faceplate surround, which fixes to the UK standard backbox into which the two modules, one each for HDMI and USB 3.0, are fixed.

The three package variants come with 3m input cables and, 3m, 5m or 10m output cables – all Vision’s own premium grade.

“We’ve reached a tipping point where AV installers have dumped VGA in favour of HDMI and USB but AV installers still have issues with long cable lengths and joins,” explains Stuart Lockhart, Director of Vision.

“Most of these connection problems are caused by cheap input patch cables on faceplates,” Lockhart adds: “Using poor quality input cable is like connecting a garden hose to a firehose. To eliminate the problem, we have created a Package that ensures every link in the signal chain is optimised, but is quick and easy to install.”

The module are designed to last a lifetime, thanks to extra ribbing to prevent the plastic from becoming brittle with time. Modules can also be swapped out at any time should an alternative connector be required by a change of display or source to future proof.
